Highly regarded in the world of Japanese vintage guitars, the Hard Puncher series from Tokai were a very impressive range of Fender P style basses built to a very high standard.
The TPB-60 from 1985 was a '60's reissue Precision Bass model. It features a metallic Candy Apple Red finish on an alder body with a vintage U profile on the maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard (20 frets, 43mm nut width), weighs 4.1kg's. Previous owner replaced one tuner with a Fender branded one along with the volume knob otherwise it appears all original.
Strung with fresh flatwounds (contact us prior to purchase if you'd like regular strings installed), the neck is straight and the truss was adjusted. The frets have some signs of wear and pitting but were polished and they play well.
