One of the earliest Greco models made in the late 1960's (before they started replicating Western guitar models), the EG-135 is a classic quirky Japanese-made hollowbody. Full hollow construction with two F holes and binding on the top and back, bolt on mahogany neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (628mm scale length, 42mm nut width), it weighs 2.8kg's.
Loaded with the original single coil pickups controlled by individual slide switches and independent volume/tone controls along with a Bigsby-style vibrato system (missing the arm but still functional) and an intonate-able bridge.
This one received a full deep clean and service prior to listing including a fretboard oil, fret polish, truss adjustment and electronics flush so it's playing nicely and sounding great. The frets are vintage but play smooth and the neck is straight with plenty of life left in the truss rod. The action is a little high and could use a neck shim to correct the angle, however the screws on the neck are slightly stiff and we don't want to risk cracking them as it still plays as it sits. The cosmetic cracks on the neck is purely in the clear coat and has no structural impact on the wood.
