Although many Japanese guitars claim to be "Ibanez", unless it's wearing that glorious word on the headstock it's just not the same!
Made in 1976, this 2393 features an arched mahogany top, chambered mahogany body, bolt on mahogany neck with a slim 60's style profile and a very uncommon lightly flamed maple fingerboard (black binding and black block inlays), it weighs 3.6kg's.
Loaded with the original Maxon Super 70 humbuckers and original Japanese pots and wiring, it had the knobs and the tuners replaced at some stage otherwise it appears close to factory original as pictured.
Well loved vintage condition with signs of wear but no breaks, repairs or major modifications. The neck is straight and the frets are smooth with life left, the truss works as it should and overall it plays nicely as it sits.
