Japanese made in 1977 by Fernandes, the FST-70 "Burny Custom" was aimed at replicating the CBS era Fender Stratocaster. Featuring a three-bolt neck plate with fully functional micro-tilt adjustor plus a big headstock with a bullet truss, from a distance (or without your glasses on) this really looks the part! Gloss black finish on a solid body bolted to a slim C maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (40mm nut width), it weighs 3.8kg's.
Loaded with three original alnico single coil pickups with a brand new five-way toggle and output jack paired with the original pots and wiring, Fernandes stamped tuners and a six-point tremolo system keep it tuned and intonated nicely. This one looks like it's had a new pickguard installed for the Gilmour aesthetic otherwise it appears to be close to original.
Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish, fret re-seating, truss adjustment, fretboard oil and electronics flush. The frets are shiny and play smooth with some light pitting, the truss works nicely and adjusts as it should.
