Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. This SG-2000 was considered the holy grail of SG's by many and was the model of choice for Carlos Santana and John Frusciante.
Weighing in at 4.3kg's (fairly light for an SG-2000), it's built with a mahogany body, maple top, slim 60's mahogany thru-neck and an ebony fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width).
Loaded with the original Yamaha tailpiece, bridge and tuners along with the original SGH-1SOB pickups.
Well used vintage condition as pictured with a few chips to the top/side of the body and general signs of cosmetic wear from use, no structural repairs or breaks and it appears to be completely original. Received a professional setup and service including a fret polish and electronics service. Frets are in solid condition for it's age and have life left.
