Made in Japan by Yamaha in the late 1970's, the SL-800 was a higher-end Les Paul model in the Studio Lord series. Maple top wearing a cherry sunburst finish with a solid mahogany body, slim 60's profile maple neck and a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (13.75" radius, 43mm nut width), it weighs a chunky 4.8kg's.
This one has been upgraded by the previous owner and now features locking Gotoh tuners, an Obsidian wiring harness and a set of Labrynth Snakepit humbuckers.
Good overall vintage condition as pictured with basic signs of wear for it's age. Frets are shiny and play smooth with some light play wear but plenty of life left, truss works well and the neck is straight.
