Japanese made in the early 80's, the BB-800 was Yamaha's attempt at redesigning the Fender Precision Bass. Double cutaway alder body with a gloss black finish, maple neck, it weighs 4.1kg's. 43mm nut width with a full scale 21 fret slab rosewood fingerboard, it's loaded with a P style pickup controlled by master volume/tone knobs.
Bought from a pawn shop locally in the mid 1980's by the previous owner, this one has a set of Schaller tuners installed and a new volume pot otherwise it appears close to all original as pictured. The neck is straight and the truss works as it should, the frets show some wear but play smoothly.
