Japanese made in the early 1980's as part of Yamaha's "Super Bass" series, the SB-500S was a mid-range model aimed at competing with Fender's Jazz Bass. Solid Nato body with a brown sunburst finish, maple neck with a walnut skunk stripe (34" scale, 44mm nut width, 21 frets), it weighs a beefy 4.9kg's.
This one appears to be all original and in great condition for it's age. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts as it should, the frets have plenty of life and play smoothly.
