Made in Japan in 1981, the FJB-65J was Fernandes' unofficial "Jaco" model fretless Jazz Bass. Sen ash body with no pickguard screws bolted to a maple neck and factory lined fretless fingerboard, it weighs 4kg's. Loaded with an aftermarket set of Bartolini passive Jazz pickups controlled by two volumes and a master tone control, this one appears to be all original except for some replacement knobs.
Overall it's in good condition for a 40+ year old guitar with basic signs of general playwear. The fretboard is clean and it's currently strung with fresh flatwounds, the truss works well and the neck is nice and straight with no choking. The clear coat over the headstock decal has peeled (common on these Stone Logo models) but it's still clear what this is.
