Made in the Fujigen factory in 1982 as part of the first ever run of Fender Japan guitars, the JB62-115 was the flagship model Jazz Bass from the original JV Series.
Sold as pictured, this is a genuine Fender Japan JB62 neck dated to September 1982. Fully functional truss and a straight neck, looks like it's had an amateur refret at some stage with some fretboard chipping puttied and smoothed by the previous owner. There's a small chip near the nut but nothing major.
The body appears to be original but has been stripped back and refinished in a clear lacquer. It's a one-piece ash body with the correct screw and bridge holes for a JB62-115 (although most have been lightly plugged with toothpicks, easily re-drillable). The neck pocket has some over spray covering any original factory stamps unfortunately however given the neck fit and high quality specs it does appear to be original for the neck.
