From the Fender "A-Series" of guitars made just after the famous JV series in the mid 1980's by the Fujigen factory in Japan, the SST-30 was a Squier branded model that was designed to replicate the '60's Stratocaster. Don't let the Squier name fool you, these were made alongside the Fender branded models of the same era and are every bit as good as a JV or E series Fender.
Basswood body wearing the highly desired Torino Red poly finish bolted to a maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.5kg's. Loaded with Fender Japan ceramic single coil pickups and Japanese pots, this one appears to be all original as pictured with a six-point tremolo system and Fender Japan stamped saddles along with the original Japanese tuners.
This is one of almost 50 guitars that we recently acquired from an Australian collector who kept most of his guitars safely stashed away and only used them very lightly at home.
Very good vintage condition with only light signs of wear and tear as pictured. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts well, the frets are shiny and have plenty of life. Had a brand new bone nut installed prior to listing and was serviced recently so it's good to go!
