Made in Japan in 1984, the TSS-38 Silver Star was one of Tokai’s replicas of the CBS era Fender Stratocaster. Large headstock with a bullet truss and tilt adjuster on a three-bolt neck plate, it weighs 3.5kg’s. Alder body with an a vintage white finish, one piece maple neck with a comfortable rounded C profile (40mm nut width), 21 fret maple fingerboard. Loaded with the original Tokai SS-HOT alnico pickups in the neck and middle positions and a generic rail humbucker in the bridge.
Reasonably clean vintage condition as pictured with basic cosmetic and play wear and tear, looks to be all original. Truss works well and the frets have life left in them with some light pitting.
