Japanese made as part of the Fender "A Series" of guitars that came out of the Fujigen factory in the mid 1980's, the ST72-70 was the non-scalloped version of the famous Ritchie Blackmore model.
Solid basswood body wearing a stained/faded Olympic White finish bolted to a maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.4kg's. Loaded with the original neck and middle pickups with an aftermarket Seymour Duncan Hot Rail mini humbucker in the bridge with a coil split push/pull on the tone knob. The bridge was also replaced to a Wilkinson system at some stage.
Well loved condition as pictured with plenty of wear and tear but no breaks or repairs. The neck is nice and straight with a fully functional truss, the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left.
