Part of the famous "E Series" of guitars produced for Fender by the Fujigen factory in the 1980's, the STR-70 was from the "Pro Feel" series of guitars that were designed to satisfy the needs of "modern" guitarists.
Built with a poplar body (wearing a Candy Apple Red finish that's darkened a little over the years) bolted to a maple neck with a 22 fret maple fingerboard (648mm scale length, 12" radius, 43mm nut width), it weighs 4kg's. A previous owner had it professionally refretted with jumbo frets and it's loaded with the original Fender EX-TREM Floyd Rose system and Gotoh tuners. The original Dragstar humbucker is still in the bridge position, the neck and middle pickups have been upgraded to unbranded alnico single coils otherwise it appears to be original.
Well loved but still in good overall condition as pictured with some cosmetic wear and tear to the neck and body but no structural breaks or repairs. The guitar was refretted at some point as previously mentioned and has been played plenty since as the frets show some light pitting and wear but were polished prior to listing and play smoothly, the neck is straight and the truss works as it should.
