Made by the Fujigen factory in 1988, this Fender TL52-65 was a special model in the Fender Japan catalog that features their short-lived "Charcoal Burst" finish. With a lightly charcoaled American Basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a slim U profile (7.25" radius, 42mm nut width), it weighs 3.3kg's. This one has some aftermarket CTS pots and a USA bridge pickup along with the original Fender Japan neck pickup, brass saddles and Gotoh made "Vintage Style" machine heads.
Good vintage condition as pictured with a few signs of basic wear and tear as pictured, restrung and given a basic service prior to listing. The neck was sanded to satin by a previous owner to eliminate the sticky feel of a gloss neck. The neck is straight with a functional truss and the vintage frets have plenty of life left.
