Made by the Fujigen factory in 1989, this is a players grade example of the very high-end ST54-900 '54 reissue model from Fender Japan. Lacquer black finish on an alder body, one-piece maple neck with a soft V '54 profile (43mm nut width, 7.25" radius), it weighs 3.4kg's. Loaded with the original CTS pots, USA 3-way pickup selector and three ST-VINTAGE Fender USA made single coils, this one looks to have an aftermarket bridge/saddles.
Plenty of wear and tear on this one from years of use but no breaks or repairs and it's a great player. There's some nitro burn where it looks to have been touched up at some point and some light sticker tan, the neck has a few small bits of missing lacquer on the fretboard but nothing that impacts playability. Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing, the truss works as it should and the neck is straight. The frets have some light pitting but play well, looks like it may have been refretted at some point previously.
