Made by the Fujigen factory in 1989, the TL80G-60 was one of the limited edition models sold as part of Fender Japan's "Collectors Series". Basswood body bolted to a painted black maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (7.25" radius, slim U profile), it weighs 3.3kg's.
This one's been heavily modified by a previous owner as pictured although it still has the original pickups and pots installed. The replacement parts include Schaller tuners, a 1980's Fender ashtray bridge with brass saddles, a black pickguard and chrome control/neck plates.
Given a basic setup and service prior to listing and it plays well with a straight neck and plenty of life in the vintage frets. The truss works as it should and the electronics sound great.
