Japanese made in 1989, the Ibanez 540S Saber was the predecessor of the famous S series and is known for it's slim, sleek body design. Bright Lipstick Red finish on a mahogany body with a maple Wizard neck and a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.2kg's. Edge Tremolo system along with the original F2 humbucker in the bridge and a pair of C2 stacked single coils in the neck and middle positions controlled by master volume/tone knobs and a 5-way blade switch.

This one appears all original except for the replaced locking nut. Given a full professional setup and service prior to listing including a fretboard oil, fret polish and electronics flush. The frets show light wear but play smoothly with minimal pitting, the neck is straight and the truss works as it should. There's a small cosmetic crack on the back of the headstock at the mounting holes for the nut, very common on Ibanez models and this one is smooth and solid with no structural issues at all.
