I pride myself on being honest with my listings, so let me begin by saying i hate this guitar. It's a great physical guitar, but i think it's ugly and i find Metallica un-listenable. I don't know why i said yes to it (probably because it's Japanese) and i've priced it to get it out of here as soon as possible (the last two went on Reverb for $3150 and $4400 over 6 years ago). They're very rare apparently.

Made in Japan briefly in the 1990s (hand written serial in the neck pickup cavity) before production moved to Korea. This seems to be an EX variant of the MX130's that were made in the same factory as the MX250's with almost identical specs, with the only difference being the rosewood fingerboard. Apparently these were designed to be exported from Japan as a higher end version of the Edwards EX model, but legal issues stopped that before it got off the ground.

Mahogany neck and the aforementioned rosewood fingerboard set to a mahogany body with two volume controls (one for the EMG81 and one for the EMG60) and a three-way pickup selector, factory loaded with Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh bridge/tailpiece, weighs 4.2kg's.

The loser of a previous owner thought they'd be super cool and attach a rubber "black diamond" plate on the top and swapped out the original strap buttons for strap locks so they didn't drop it (but they clearly dropped it anyway as there's chips on the horns).

All of that aside, it's rock solid with no breaks or repairs to be seen and just regular wear and tear in the usual spots. The frets show plenty of playwear but still play smoothly and the neck is straight with an adjustable truss. Currently set up in drop C, the previous owner did the setup but the strings feel fine.
