1993 Fender Japan TL72-58 '72 Reissue Telecaster (Satin Purple)
1993 Fender Japan TL72-58 '72 Reissue Telecaster (Satin Purple)
Made by the Fujigen factory in 1993, the TL72 was a reissue of the regular '72 model Telecaster (rather than the more famous Thinline or Custom models from that era). This one wears an aftermarket satin purple stain finish on the sen ash body with some beautiful grain showing through. Oval profile one-piece maple neck (7.25" radius, 21 frets), it weighs 3.6kg's.
Loaded with the original TL-CURRENT pickups from Fender Japan, it's got a replacement tone capacitor otherwise appears factory original with Gotoh tuners and a three-section ashtray style bridge.
Good used condition as pictured with some basic wear from general use including some bumps to the finish, no breaks or repairs to be seen though. Given a setup and service prior to listing, the frets are worn but play smoothly and the neck is straight with a fully functional truss rod.
