Made in Japan by the Fujigen factory in 1996, the TLG-70P (nicknamed the Vegas Telecaster) was a special model in Fender Japan's catalog celebrating Fender's 50th anniversary. These models were made by Fender Japan's "Custom Edition" team, who were the most experienced builders working for the company that were responsible for their special models. The Edge famously used one of these during U2's "Vertigo" and "Elevation" tours, so you know they're a professional grade guitar.
One of the most visually stimulating Japanese Telecaster models, these feature a "mother of pearl" bound basswood body with a Snow White finish bolted to a maple neck with a matching headstock and a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (7.25" radius, 43mm nut width), it weighs 3.6kg's. With a full gold hardware loadout including vintage-style tuners and an upgraded bridge, it's loaded with the original TL-VINTAGE single coil pickups controlled by master volume/tone controls and a three-way selector.
This is one of almost 50 guitars that we recently acquired from an Australian collector who kept most of his guitars safely stashed away and only used them very lightly at home.
Good used condition with light signs of wear and tear as pictured including some checking to the finish and light surface scuffs but no major bumps/dings of note. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts well.
