Made in the USA in 1998, these appear to be a Japanese market exclusive as we've only seen two others and they were both from Japanese sellers (this one also came over from Japan). Transparent Ruby Red finish on a mahogany body with a plan maple top, slim 60's style mahogany neck, 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (with dot inlays) and Gibson branded humbuckers, weighs just under 4kg's.
While this shares a lot of visual similarities with a Studio, it's built with a different body and features the "Les Paul Model" text on the headstock along with a different factory hardware loadout (like the Grover tuners).
Looks to be all original except for the output jack plate, received a full professional setup and service prior to listing including a very clean visible headstock repair that's smooth to touch and rock solid. Frets have plenty of life left and are shiny/smooth with some light playwear, truss adjusts perfectly and the neck is straight.
