Made in Japan in 2000, the MB98-70SD was the first Japanese iteration of the Mustang Bass and features a period correct Seymour Duncan Designed MB single coil pickup instead of the PJ system on more recent models. Compact alder body bolted to a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard (770mm scale length, 39mm nut width), it weighs 3.6kg's.

All original and well loved condition as pictured, this was one of a handful of guitars that we recently acquired from the owner of the iconic (now defunct) Kings Cross Conservatorium (formerly Rock 'n' Roll High School in Melbourne) and was used extensively for teaching and filming purposes. Restrung and given a basic setup prior to listing so it plays and sounds great with some wear in the frets and cosmetic dings as pictured.
