Japanese made by Tokai in 2019, the AST-GP was a series of custom order models from Guitar Planet in Japan. Featuring a transparent Indigo Blue nitro lacquer finish on an ash body with a satin maple neck and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.5kg's.
These were ordered as a premium model and cost over $2000AUD new so are loaded with high end wood and components from Tokai. The pots are master volume, master tone and a "boost" knob that blends the middle pickup in series to give a humbucker style boost to the signal.
This one has a relic to the finish but is otherwise factory fresh and appears all original. The frets have plenty of life and the neck is straight with a fully functional truss.
