The MicroBlock 45 stemmed from a hilarious April Fool's prank where we created the "Thormitron 10000" a "10,000 watt, thorium fueled micro amp." Although the product was a joke, the MicroBlock is not. We took a long hard look at the competition, and developed a euphonious sounding micro power amp for your pedals, with speaker and headphone outputs.
The MicroBlock 45 provides a solid and musical sounding output device for your pedalboard, and also serves whereever a small utility amp is needed. With a small but proper preamp and three controls, the MicroBlock provides musically effective control of tone, and ranges from clean to searing overdrive without choking or gagging, where other micro-amps can let you down. While not quite in the league of our larger amps, the 33-watt 8-ohm rating is actually quite usable for smaller gigs.
